Brad Pitt Reacts To Shania Twain’s Viral Song Performance

When Shania Twain performed the classic hit “That Don’t Impress Me Much” at last month’s People’s Choice Awards, she sassily inserted Reynolds’ name into its famous Brad Pitt line.

“OK, so you’re Ryan Reynolds,” Twain sang.  I’m not impressed by that. So you have the looks, but do you have the touch?” she added as the camera panned to Reynolds.

In a recent promotional interview for “Babylon,” Pitt was asked if he felt Reynolds stole his shine after Twain replaced his name with that of the “Spirited” actor.

Pitt laughed and said, “He didn’t steal it. I think we can share it.”

With a grin, Pitt affirmed that Ryan is a good egg as well. “He deserves some love, I think.”

He even mentioned some other Hollywood stars he believes should receive Twain’s lyrical salute as a result of the viral name swap.

Pitt suggested passing it on down to Austin Butler next time so he can sing it. “Maybe Leo between?”

When Twain’s lyrics switched during his performance, Reynolds, who received the People’s Icon Award that evening, smiled in surprise and exclaimed, “Oh my God, me?” before bursting into laughter.

A Canadian actor declared in an Instagram story that the moment “may be the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” according to E! News.

Reynolds appeared to enjoy Twain’s teasing as she tweeted the next day, “Sorry not sorry @VancityReynolds,” sharing a clip of her now-viral performance.

According to Reynolds, “I can’t think of a more iconic, smart and beautiful person to not impress all that much.”

“Thank you so much @ShaniaTwain,” he said with a heart emoji.

On Feb. 3, Twain will release his sixth studio album, “Queen of Me.”
